This weekend

20130925-141552.jpgSeveral past and current members of the Ady Ensemble will be involved in numerous concerts around Brisbane this weekend.

Tomorrow, Saturday the 19th of July, the Sinfonia of St Andrew’s will join forces with the Brisbane Concert Choir to undertake another of their ‘from scratch’ concerts, this time performing Haydn’s oratorio, The Creation (Die Schopfung). The concert starts at 7pm, at St Andrew’s Uniting Church, corner of Creek and Ann Streets, Brisbane (those regular Ady Ensemble patrons will know where this is!).

On Sunday, the 20th of July, there are two concerts vying for your attention.

Cordus Spiritus has a concert of Mozart, Albinoni (or is that really Giazotto?), and Beethoven, at the other St Andrew’s (Anglican Church), in South Band, Brisbane, at 3pm. You can find more about this concert here.

Also at 3pm, over at the Old Museum, the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra are presenting, “Bohemian Journeys”: a concert of music by Brahms, Dvorak, and Richard Strauss. You can find more about this concert here.

So a tough call between the two Sunday events. Which will you choose? Either way have a great time.
