Ady@ St Andrew’s: Debussy, Glass, wood, metal & other things
Just when you thought that it was safe to return to St Andrew’s, we’re back for our third and largest concert so far, which is part of the 4MBS Festival of Classics. If you’re too lazy to read the flyer below, then just keep reading.
We’re featuring strings this time around, so come along for the first Australian performance of Philip Glass’ Third Symphony, for nineteen strings, as well as the first performances of Mike Forsyth’s “Skyscape”, for trombone, Cor Anglais (David Reicheldt), and strings, and a brand new work for trombone and strings by Tom Green. Plus we’ll be performing Baroque composer Gottfried Finger’s Sonata for alto trombone and strings, as well as as a new arrangement for strings of Debussy’s Clair de Lune. See you on the 26th of May!
