More concerts on today with the Amadeus Orchestra, Corda Spiritus, and the BPO!

If there wasn’t enough going on today around town involving past and present members of the Ady Ensemble, then here’s another. The Amadeus Orchestra will be playing three sets in the Queen Street Mall: one at 11am (better get there quick!), 12pm, and 1pm. …and don’t forget the Corda Spiritus and Brisbane Philarmonic Orchestra concerts

This weekend

Several past and current members of the Ady Ensemble will be involved in numerous concerts around Brisbane this weekend. Tomorrow, Saturday the 19th of July, the Sinfonia of St Andrew’s will join forces with the Brisbane Concert Choir to undertake another of their ‘from scratch’ concerts, this time performing Haydn’s oratorio, The Creation (Die Schopfung).

Point Quartet: Contour Lines (music by Haydn, Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, and Tate)

We love supporting the other work that Ady Ensemble members get up to, and the Ady Ensemble’s Principal Cellist, Ngaio Toombes, and violinist Cameron Hough make up one half exactly (no more, no less) of the Point Quartet. The quartet’s next concert is at the Brisbane Powerhouse, this Friday night, the 11th of July, at 7pm (that’s three sleeps away).
